Blurb:
Alyssa St. James enters Blackwood Castle in a thunderstorm as The Tudor Falcon swoops above her head and she meets Dark Castle Lord, Derek Hayden.
Will they find love in a castle haunted by King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn or will The Tudor Falcon reign forever?
Excerpt:
Alyssa St. James had known upon her arrival at Blackwood Castle that a thunderstorm would be awaiting her. She was almost always right in her premonitions.
The cab driver reduced his speed as the rain poured down upon the road. The taxi swung around the curve with a screech of the brakes and skidded on the wet tarmac.
“How far are we from the castle?” she asked the cab driver.
“Less than five minutes down this deserted road,” he answered.
Deserted road was right. Looking through the cab window, Alyssa could see nothing. The storm had darkened the sky and the only illumination she could see was from the lightning and the car headlights. The trees and hills were endless.
“Are you sure you want to go to Blackwood Castle?” he asked in a worried tone. “It’s haunted by The Tudor Falcon.”
“Yes!” Alyssa answered with more conviction than she felt. She wrapped her arms tightly around herself. She tried to focus on what she came here for and subdue all the unwanted memories churning through her.
Amadeo, Conte di Sant’Angelo, has met Heidelinde Müller, an advertising designer, on a ski trip. He wants to know this fascinating woman better. Their friendship grows, despite interference from their mothers and persistent old flames.
When a trip to his villa ends badly, he whisks her to the warm sands of Ocean Breeze, Florida.
Pushed to the limit, they enter a sham engagement.
Can he persuade her that he wants the engagement to be ‘real’? Will they be able to overcome the obstacles that are being thrown in their path to happiness?
After a chance meeting at a family wedding, the only person Lavender Lennox seems to have on her mind is Fionn Tate. After coming to Castle Lochaber to learn all the duties of a chatelaine, she is more than pleased to learn that Fionn is staying there, too. She just has a slight problem with her wardrobe, lack of social skills…and a horoscope that dashes her dreams of a future with Fionn.
When Fionn’s healing skills are needed and they are both called away, she learns just how much of a role Fate can play in making dreams come true…
Excerpt:
“Shall I prove to ye how beautiful I think ye are? I’ve a present for ye.” He opened the cupboard and withdrew the vial of honeysuckle perfume. “I made this for ye an’ it was no small feat! Surely a man who didn’t see yer beauty wouldn’t make such an effort.” He pressed the small tube into her hand and closed her fingers over it.
Lavender withdrew the stopper and delicately sniffed. “Honeysuckle. It smells wonderful.” She dabbed a drop onto her wrists and inhaled the sweet fragrance. He watched as her lips curled into a smile and she held out her arm for him.
Fionn lifted her wrist and breathed the scent he had created for her. It suited her and he was proud to have made it. Regardless of the carnal intimacies he had experienced with other women, this moment stood out as much more special and private than he could have imagined. Still holding on to her hand, he moved forward, bridging the gap between them.
Lavender’s eyes focused on his lips for a millisecond then back to his eyes, but that split-second told him what she wanted. And Fionn had never been able to resist temptation. He lowered his head and in that one smooth act of brushing his lips across hers, the erstwhile mousy Lavender branded him as her own, softly, sweetly. His heart was officially lost.
Book Blurb:
Adahya, a Mohawk warrior aiding the British, wants no part of love–especially not with the chattering white woman he has just taken captive.
Katherine St. James, a teacher at a frontier mission, will stop at nothing to return to the man she has always loved, Reverend Joshua Knox.
Adahya’s attraction for Katherine is threatening his plans to kill Knox. Katherine is determined to save Joshua’s life…but Adahya is just as arousing as he is dangerous.
In a fortnight’s journey wrought with danger and deception, Adahya and Katherine make the trek of a lifetime…and sleeping with the enemy might become a very distinct possibility…
Excerpt:
The Indian slowly ran a hand down the side of her face. “What do you do with Knox?”
“N-nothing.”
“Tell me.” His fingers traced the curve of her jaw. “Do not lie. I will know.”
“I–”
“Tell me.”
“I’ve kissed him.”
The Indian lowered one arm. “Kissed him?”
Katherine found her opportunity to escape and ducked from his trap. She distanced herself yards from him.
“What does kissed him mean?”
Katherine stared at him, momentarily shaken. He could not be serious.
But he looked serious.
“You’ve never kissed anyone before?”
He looked confused.
Panic turned to incredulousness and exploded into laughter. Seeing his scowl, she covered her mouth. “Kissing is what people do to show that they care for one another.”
He seemed genuinely puzzled.
“What do Mohawks do to show their affection?” She should not have asked, but it was too late now.

Kipsy’s a Plott Hound/Terrier mix, 4 month old and twenty pounds. She’ll probably be a medium sized dog. She’s fostered in Pennsylvania and available to an approved adopter through Home Free Animal Rescue in Red Bank, NJ. She will come spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She’s one of the nicest puppies I’ve seen in a long while, already crate trained and well along in housebreaking, friendly to dogs, afraid of cats (!) and loves everyone. There is a reasonable adoption fee to cover the expenses the rescue has incurred. She came from one of the infamous gassing shelters that rescues are trying so hard to get changed and had a rough start in life, but you’d never know it now. She’s a healthy, friendly, playful puppy just like she should be.
Anyone interested can contact me at mrmireland@aol.com or Home Free Rescue at glowingcat@gmail.com. I’ll be putting this on FB as well.
