RESCUED
Once upon a time…there was a story. It went like this:
“What do you do when you are alone in the world? If you’re a nice
middle-aged lady with a social conscience, you go to your local
shelter and adopt a rescue dog. Of course, sometimes it isn’t only
the dog who needs to be rescued.”
That is how I wrote the very, very true story of Dancer—the first dog I ever rescued.
It was a few years ago, but her story is timeless and dedicated to all the extraordinary souls who take the broken, abandoned, sick and sore and weary dogs of this earth into their homes. And sometimes, if we’re very lucky, we have a rollicking good time along the way.
